LAND'S END |
Portugal 2010-2011 |
“Land's end” is a series of photographs focused on one country – Portugal, but in broader meaning it is talking about relations between human and surrounding world. Portugal is an extraordinary country, located at the border of Europe's continental part and Atlantic ocean. “The old world” is ending here at the edge of two elements – land and sea. It is a place, where one natural power is opposed to another. Human is occupying nature's space, then nature is taking it back. Opposition of sea and land, human and nature are the topics I am trying to expose in my photographs. |
